Frequently Asked Questions

Here’s a list of our most frequently asked questions. This convenient resource covers a wide range of topics, such as product specifications, shipping and delivery options, payment methods, and more.

Everything is working here. Why change?

Jobsites and signatory contractors now function quite differently.  Technological proficiency on devices and industry Apps has become a trade prerequisite.

How do we maintain our curriculum?

All of your current instructional materials available in digital format can be made available on the devices.  Plus industry software & Apps!

What does it mean 'plus industry Apps and resources'?

A vast number of trade-specific Apps have become essential tools.  These Apps, other online tools and URL shortcuts are preloaded and at your fingertips.

How do we update content?

Update content over-the-air instantly from your dashboard.

Are iPads discounted?

Qualified training centers get iPads at a discount.

Do you provide training and support?

Admin training is part of your system launch and recorded.

US-based support ensures you alway have somewhere to turn.

How long after our order will we receive fully configured iPads?

Our configuration process typically takes 5-7 business days.  However Apple’s lead time on devices varies a bit depending on time of year; from a few days to a week or two.  Your exact timeline will be determined and available upon placing your order.

Do we have full control of our devices and content?

Yes, your designated Admin person will be trained by webinar and that session gets recorded for future reference and any staff turnover.

What are the custom asset tags?

The asset tag option provides 4x custom asset tags for each device.  Tags say “property of xxxxxxx” and your phone number.  Tags also contain device serial# and barcode for scanning to speed troubleshooting or inventory control.  Tag material is chemical resistant with industrial adhesive.  1x tag is applied to device rear; 1x tag applied to package; 2x tags for case parts.

What happens to the devices when apprentices graduate?

If you’re distributing devices 1:1 to apprentices, devices are approaching end of life after 4-5 years of service.  Therefor most training centers allow students to take the devices with or without some very small “fair value” charge.  This depends on the financial policies of the training center and funds used.  Graduates’ devices get released from management and then function unrestricted.

Training centers can pull back paid Apps if desired before releasing devices so paid Apps can be repurposed to new students.

I have no experience with Apple products and am reluctant to use them. Why can’t we continue to use our laptops?

iPads are the choice of most contractors due to reliability and ease-of-use.  For that reason, most industry software is written to function on iPads.  Our training and support framework ensures your success regardless of prior Apple experience.

How does pricing work?

Pricing is straightforward:

Cost of iPads + one-time setup & license charges + modest monthly charge per apprentice for support/maintenance.

Quantity determines pricing- please contact us for a detailed quote.
